Love, Medicine, Miracles and More

READ BIO

Bernie S. Siegel, MD has impeccable traditional medicine credentials and yet his healing work has gone above and beyond traditional medical healing.  He attended Colgate university and Cornell University Medical College, is a member of 2 scholastic honor societies – Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha, and he graduated with honors.  His surgical training was at Yale New Haven Hospital, West Haven Veteran’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

In 1978 he created the Exceptional Cancer Patients program, individual and group therapy using patients’ drawings, dreams, images and feelings, a practice he coined “Carefrontation”- a safe, loving therapeutic confrontation to help facilitate lifestyle changes, personal empowerment and miraculous healings.

In 1989 he retired from practice as an assistant clinical professor of general and pediatric surgery at Yale so that he could speak to patients and their caregivers.  That year he published his first book, Love, Medicine and Miracles, an event which redirected his life.  And since then he has continued to publish books, speak his message on stages around the world, and in audiobooks, CDs and videos.
